When it rains, it pours. All at once, my PC and my car both decided to die on me. My RAM sticks on my PC are usable still, but barely. BSODs are common. I bought this PC used in 2021, and the cruddy Adata RAM sticks in here are failing all at once. I have enough memory to play old n64 games and watch videos, but nothing much else. I wanna say 'that's why there's been no updates in a week', but that's not true. I'm just lazy. LOL
My car also lost its transmission this week. Fully dead, have to replace it for $1400. I'm wondering if its even worth it at this point, as I bought the car in total for $3500 three years ago, and the transmission fix alone is worth a third the price of the car. I don't know.
Beyond anything else, I need a full time salary position before I can think about making any moves with a new car. No way I'm gonna be able to pay off car payments monthly on a part time wage. I've made significant steps in the direction of a full time gig, though. If I hear back from that within the next couple of weeks, I'll let y'all know. If not, it's back to square one for me. Back to... gulp... LINKEDIN

Pray for me please. Tough times ahead.
Tuesday, 09/09/25 | Mood: Still too hot outside :(
I just discovered what a helper morning stimulants are. My boss bought some "neuro" gums for the store, and apparently it has two cups of coffee worth of caffine in it. Well, being the dunce I am, I took one of those gums and had a black coffee right after. By noon, my hands were jittering uncontrollably. I am new to caffine! I never take it. Never drank coffee. But now I think I'm starting to enjoy it. Add it on my pile of addictions, I guess.
It helped a lot today. My work is "putting the rocket" on me, so to speak. It's a pro wrestling term, it means they're investing a lot into pushing me to the higher ups, so I can be promoted. With that comes more expectations, more responsibility. And they are not shy about piling them on now, even though I'm still getting paid a part time wage. It's alright, it'll pay off soon. Besides, it's not like I have a lot of options in this job market. If I don't get this full time promotion, I'm honestly screwed when my student loans kick in.
Fall's on its way though, which is nice. I always love q4 of the year. Cool weather, based holidays, and the aesthetic is on point. Excellent...

Wednesday, 09/03/25 | Mood: Excited for Autumn
Another month down! Still working on that pixel art. It looks really bad. I know how to do texturing, but lighting and dynamic angles completely elude me. I will probably try to do some art study pieces so I can get better at depicting different angles than just straight-on.
All of this yap is probably very boring, so here is a WIP...
Pretty rough so far. I just can't seem to get a convincing roof shape, not sure how I can fix that. Maybe I should use a reference. It was very difficult to force myself to make this, and not roll with the mistakes and make some avant garde nonsense piece to hide my lack of skill. Over and over again, I had to tell myself that I had to "let it be bad", otherwise I will never improve in my craft. Hopefully that is a good mindset to adopt at my current stage. More progress to come.
